Listen to, assess and refer families in a situation of isolation in Geneva
Goals
- Welcome families with pre-school children in a caring environment,
- Offer activities for sharing, integration and support families in vulnerable and isolated situations in Geneva,
- Assess families in situations of vulnerability and isolation in Geneva and direct them towards structures adapted to their needs,
- Offer regular events on themes related to parenthood.
Resources
- Offer a reception area to all families several days a week,
- Carry out social assessments of families,
- Identify families in precarious situations and social isolation,
- Support families in their parenting,
- Refer families to structures that meet their needs,
- Fund families in precarious situations for early childhood activities.
Social integration programs
Music classes in partnership with Music Together in Geneva Center
- Music Together® is a recognized music and movement program. In the classroom and at home, children and adults participate in movement activities (finger plays, dance). In addition to contributing to the development of fine and gross motor skills, these activities help children develop other motor skills essential to physical development, such as bilateral coordination and spatial awareness.
- The program follows a three-year curriculum, with a new collection of 25 songs every quarter (9 collections in all - over 200 songs). The strength lies in the idea of continuous, long-term learning.
Objectives
- For children: development and reinforcement of their social, cognitive, motor and musical skills,
- For parents: development and strengthening of social cohesion between families living in the same neighborhood.
- Integration of disadvantaged families living in the Minoteries neighborhood.
