Lisa Hagemann
TeacherBorn and bred in Geneva, but originally from a place named Egg in central Switzerland, Lisa studied the viola at the Haute école de musique de Genève, during which she also went on Erasmus to London and took part in a pedagogical project in Colombia, which is very similar to the Sistema in Venezuela. The concept is to make kids and teens play music instead of hanging in some dangerous and dodgy places.
After that Lisa worked as a German language assistant at the Institut Florimont for a year and then went back to London for my master's degree ( also in viola). London was her home for 6 years, and she worked as a Saturday school french teacher, Montessori school french teacher as well. She also worked as a freelance music teacher ( violin, viola, piano, early years) and performer ( viola, baroque viola , and viola da gamba ). But then Brexit and Covid happened so here she is, back in Geneva where she is currently teaching some violin, piano, music initiation to little children, and also some deputy work in primary schools. And luckily concerts are happening again so there have been some great projects going on, like the performance of a piece composed by artificial intelligence or a renaissance karaoke...
What brought Lisa to music together was firstly a lucky find, as she was looking for schools offering music classes for toddlers. And then she found MT, which also involved parents in the music making, and having been around a lot of unmusical parents the last couple of years asking for songs and activities to do at home , it made a lot of sense for Lisa to learn more about it.
